Past Rides

Our ride down the Oregon Coast was one of the most memorable trips that Exchange Cycle Tours hosted. We cycled past Fort Clatsop after which we continued south past Seaside, Cannon Beach and stopped at Nehalem Bay.
The next day we continued on past Oswald and stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
The ride continued on through Lincoln City and on to the California border.

Our ride to Mt Hood was the other most memorable trip. We rode up Hwy 26 toward Government Camp after which we turned off toward the Trillium Lake campground.
We had a peaceful night and the next day we cycled another 600 meters up to Timberline Lodge for a total climb of over 1800 meters! It was the first time that I'd ever traveled by bike to the snowline.
Then as if that wasn't enough, we had the unique opportunity to ride down the mountain with the zoobombers.

The Gladstone Ride took us south from Portland along the Springwater-Oaks Bottom trail to Milwaukie.

Bike accessible routes includ River Road, Clackamas Road, and the beautiful Clackamette Park.

Biking to the Columbia River is very fun and scenic.

The route is simple and follows bike only arterials. Take the Springwater Corridor east to the I-205 path and follow that north to Marine Drive.
NOTE: There is no safe bike access off of Marine Drive west of the I-205 Fwy.

Biking to Sauvie's Island is a direct but noisy ride. After cycling up Hwy 30, riders reach the Sauvie's Island Bridge and descend into another world filled with organic farms, and incredible views.

The roads on Sauvie's Island are all two lanes with no shoulder, however most traffic is careful enough to give cyclists room.

The Fanno Creek trail is a beautiful and relaxing corridor between south Beaverton and Tigard. There are very few difficult street crossings and lots of parks.

The best access to Fanno Creek is to travel west on SW 5th ave and go underneath I-217.

Cycling out to Argay Park is an easy way to get some distance miles. The route is mostly flat and doesn't frequently intercept large arterials.

To reach Argay park follow the Springwater Corridor to the I-205 path and turn on NE Shaver.
